The TARDIS 2012 Workshop is the fourth in a series of meetings on scientific topics related to sustainability.
The first workshop was held on the subject of modeling and sustainability in Schloss Seggau in Leibnitz, Austria on October 2004.
Subsequent workshops were held on 2006 at the YMCA of the Rockies on the underlying scientific principles of sustainability and on 2008 at Schloss Seggau on energy and sustainability.
The TARDIS 2012 workshop will take up the topic of the workshop planned to be held in Estes Park in April 2011, namely time and time-frames for sustainability.
It will be organized under the under joint sponsorship of the U.S. EPA, Department of Research and Innovation in the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research.

TARDIS 2006 focused on the scientific principles of sustainability.
TARDIS 2008 focused on sustainability and energy.
